Clean Air Day is an annual air pollution campaign, created by Global Action Plan. It helps to focus attention on taking collective action to clean up our air, boost public awareness and understanding of the health harms of air pollution, and demonstrate support for clean air.
This year, Clean Air Day is being held on the 19th June and aims to highlight that air pollution affects us from before our first breath until our last.
How to get involved:
- Take public transport or walk, rather than driving.
- Browse Smoke Control Sefton to learn more about air pollution from solid fuel use.
- Share your new knowledge with your friends and family.
- Complete the “Air Pollution calendar” to find out other ways to reduce your impact.
- Write to your MP to express your interest and concerns, Global Action Plan have created a handy template which can be found here.
